Jennifer Ramirez Robson joins Green River College Board of Trustees

Jennifer Ramirez Robson of Kent has been appointed to the Green River College Board of Trustees by Gov. Jay Inslee.

"Trustee Ramirez Robson brings a wealth of experience working with nonprofit and governmental organizations to the position. We look forward to working with our new colleague as the we start the school year."

Ms. Ramirez Robson will be introduced during the Oct. 15 Board of Trustees meeting at 4:30 p.m., which will be held virtually via Zoom.

Ms. Ramirez Robson is the Director of Resident Services at King County Housing Authority where she guides the work of several strategic and program initiatives to improve the quality of life for residents and their communities. Many of these initiatives seek to understand and strengthen the connections between housing and healthcare, employment, and more.

Ms. Ramirez Robson earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Southern New Hampshire University and has 20+ years of leadership experience across private, non-profit, and government sectors. She replaces Trustee Linda Cowan, whose term ended after ten years of service.

She will be a strong addition to our outstanding Board and I look forward to our work together on behalf of our students and communities Green River serves,” GRC President Suzanne Johnson said. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank Trustee Linda Cowan for her service to Green River as a trustee. Her stewardship, dedication to public service and commitment to Green River’s mission is greatly appreciated.”

Trustee Ramirez Robson joins the GRC Board of Trustees with Chair Arlene Pierini, former executive director of Communities in Schools of Auburn Washington; Trustee Elaine Chu, Senior Philanthropic Advisor for the Seattle Foundation; Trustee Sharonne Navas, co-founder and executive director of the Equity in Education Coalition; and Trustee Jackie Boschok, president of the Washington State Alliance for Retired Americans and a member of the Board of Directors for Puget Sound Advocates for Retirement Action.
