Question & Answer Session

You can ask any question you have about studying in the US, taking classes at Green River College, adapting to American life, and anything else you want to know!

For example:

  • What classes do I take if I don’t have a TOEFL or IELTS score?
  • What is studying in an American college like?
  • Do I have to speak up in classes?
  • What is a bridge program? How can it help me?
  • Can you tell me about your new program, Fast-track English?
  • Where should I live?
  • What is there to do for fun?

Our IEP teachers are offering a mixture of the following:

  • Live zoom class sessions and office hours that are spread out during the week
  • Recorded lessons that students can review repeatedly
  • Assignments with feedback where students can communicate with their teachers
  • Class interactions via discussion boards
  • Group discussions and assignments in zoom breakout rooms

Our IEP Advisor, is available "live" in her virtual advising room for six hours every day, and she regularly checks-in with individual students for one-on-one meetings.

We also offer free additional online resources for self-study after class as well as study hall with free tutoring.

“After studying English (IEP) at Green River for a year, I then studied another 2 years in the academic program. In 2013, I transferred to UC Berkeley. I am now pursuing further education at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, the #1 School of veterinary medicine in the world. I cannot describe how much I appreciate Green River College. I would not have been able to make it this far without my time at GRC.”
