Prepare for transfer to American Universities
Intensive English helps prepare international students to study at American colleges and universities with small classes and personal attention from highly qualified instructors.
Our advanced level offers academic preparation classes and opportunities for students to experience regular college classes. After Intensive English students may continue their academic study at Green River College for two years, then transfer to a four-year university in the U.S. to complete their bachelor's degree. Our students have transferred to the University of Washington, University of Southern California, Purdue University, University of Michigan, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and many other top American universities nationwide.
New TOEFL Requirements
Starting winter 2020, students who have an international TOEFL score of 55 can enter Level 5 Bridge course directly, and students with an international TOEFL score of 50 can enter Level 4 Bridge Preparation course. Transferred to:UC Berkeley BS, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine
“After studying English (IESL) at Green River for a year, I then studied another 2 years in the academic program. In 2013, I transferred to UC Berkeley. I am now pursuing further education at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, the #1 School of veterinary medicine in the world. I cannot describe how much I appreciate Green River College. I would not have been able to make it this far without my time at GRC.”
