Hello! I am originally from California, but I’ve spent most of my life in Washington state. At an early age, I fell in love with the lush evergreen trees and misty forests of the Pacific Northwest. I earned my bachelor’s degree at Western Washington University (WWU) where I studied theatre arts and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

While at WWU, I volunteered in the classroom with Japanese exchange students from Asia University and with the WWU Intensive English Program. I interacted with students from all over the world and had the incredible opportunity to learn about a variety of cultures and places.

After graduating from WWU, I lived in Shimonoseki, Japan, and taught high school students as an Assistant Language Teacher. My time in Japan has helped me better understand the challenges of living in an unfamiliar country and appreciate the amazing learning opportunities that living abroad provides. I’m delighted to use this experience and my experience mentoring international students to support students and assist them in achieving their academic goals.

In my spare time, I enjoy listening to audiobooks, taking walks with my tiny dog, and spending time with friends and family.
