What Are Areas of Interest?
Not sure what to study or which classes to take? Areas of Interest help you stay on track and work toward your educational goals faster.
Here’s how it works:
1. Pick a General Field You Like
Start by choosing a broad area, like health, business, or education. Then, follow
a pathway—a group of classes that match that field and lead to real careers.
2. Make a Simple Plan
Figuring out which classes to take can be confusing. That’s where your advisor comes
in! They’ll help you pick the right classes, in the right order, so you don’t waste
time or money. You’ll always know what’s next.
3. Get Ready for a Real Job
As you go, you’ll find out what you enjoy most. Your advisor will show you job options
that fit your skills and interests. They’ll also help you pick any extra classes you
need to get job-ready.
Areas of Interest are based on a proven program called Guided Pathways. Thousands of students across the country have used it to graduate faster and land great jobs. Now it’s your turn.
