Visual Art Faculty Exhibition
January 4 - March 20th, 2023
Every two years, the visual art faculty at Green River College presents a group exhibition of their own work. The pandemic caused a disruption that impacted not only the gallery schedule, but art-making generally for artists world-wide. Though it may not be directly evident conceptually, it played a role in studio practice as artists found themselves isolated in their studios.
Teaching artists have a unique role in the field as they wear several professional hats. Their teaching pedagogy and creative practices often overlap. This exhibition presents media familiar to Green River students but reflects upon divergent personal experimentation and aesthetic, highlighting works that have been made during the pandemic.
