Green River to unveil new degree at Kent Campus Open House

Green River College will unveil their new degree at the Kent Campus Open House from 5 p.m.–7 p.m. May 2. The campus is located in the Kent Station at 417 Ramsay Way, Suite 112.

The new Associate in Arts Degree will allow students to complete their full two-year degree at the Kent Campus.

“This is a great opportunity for students in the Kent Area to get their entire degree locally.” Byron Ford, director for instructional support and operations, Green River Kent Campus, said. “We’re excited to offer a greater variety of classes for students interested in transferring to a university or completing high school credits.”

Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke, College Interim President Scott Morgan, Interim Vice President of Instruction Rebecca Williamson, Vice President of Student Affairs Deb Casey, as well as Kent Campus faculty and staff will be in attendance.

The event is free and open to the public and will include campus tours, a student panel, light refreshments, one-on-one advising, Financial Aid and Running Start information sessions.

Parking is free at Kent Station and the Sound Transit parking garage located at 301 Railroad Ave N. Kent, WA 98032.
