Green River College will transition to summer operating hours beginning Monday, June 23, 2025. The college will return to its regular schedule on Monday, August 26, following the summer quarter.
During this period, the college’s public hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The campus will be closed to the public on Fridays, though some services may remain available remotely. Facilities and Campus Safety will continue their regular schedules based on campus needs.
The shift to summer hours is intended to support work-life balance for employees, provide time for collaborative summer projects, and align services with student demand. Departments hosting events outside of standard hours will continue to operate as needed.
To maintain a 40-hour work week, most employees will shift to four ten-hour days. Employees who are unable to work ten-hour days may use vacation time or work with their supervisors to confirm an alternative schedule.
