Green River College will transition to summer operating hours beginning Monday, June 23, 2025. The college will return to its regular schedule on Monday, August 26, following the summer quarter.
Due to a planned infrastructure project, all GRC locations will be closed to the public on Monday, June 23. As a result, campus will be open on Friday, June 27. All remaining Fridays through August 23 will follow the summer schedule, and the college will be closed to the public on those days.
All services and resources will continue to be available to students, faculty, and staff from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. While some departments and offices may be open on Fridays, many campus services such as IT, HR, Food Services, and Facilities may not be available. The shift to summer hours is intended to support work-life balance for employees, provide time for collaborative summer projects, and align services with student demand. Departments hosting events outside of standard hours will continue to operate as needed.
During this time, most employees will work four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off. Employees who need an alternative schedule should coordinate directly with their supervisor. Campus Safety will continue to operate on regular schedules.
