WISE Grant - Students

Information for Students

Students qualify as WISE Grant Program Participants if:

  1. They are taking a class that is a required course for our Customer Services Representative Certificate or
  2. They are actively pursuing our certificate.

In order for you to access our services, all students must fill out our intake forms and return them to the Program Navigator: Deborah Tugaga.

The WISE grant funds the following  personalized student services:

  • Advocacy
  • Academic support
  • Career guidance
  • Job preparation and search assistance
  • Connections with employer partners

Success Stories:

"With assistance from navigator, a first-generation student obtained Workforce Education funds to support tuition and living expenses, and found work at a company where she had interviewed two years earlier. She is on track to completing her AA and using her degree to start a dog treat business."

"With assistance from navigator, two first-generation students who needed assistance with obtaining funds for Spring Quarter were able to continue their education with Workforce Education funds. Navigator successfully advocated for these two students, one who was at risk of dropping out, and the other who wanted to pursue their Bachelor's Degree in Business."
