Student Requirements

How The Curriculum is Delivered and Electronic Device Requirements

Content Delivery:

All students are required to be in attendance for all courses regardless of delivery with the exception of online classes.  If the course is delivered via zoom, students’ cameras and microphones need to be in working order. This is a mandatory requirement. For more information, please see Types of Elearning Classes.

How Do I Access Content?

Most, if not all of our course content is on the learning platform called CANVAS. This does include our quizzes and exam which utilizes a program Respondus within Canvas.  This program locks down browsers and video tapes the students to ensure your identiry and academic honestly. For more information go to:Prepare for E-learning Classes.

Electronic Requirement

Students are encouraged to have a laptop that allows for different programs to be downloaded such as Respondus. Students are also encouraged to bring a laptop to class for notetaking.  The OTA program and the college has laptops to borrow for student use, but it may not be ideal for you and is a first come, first serve basis.  When on Zoom, students are expected to put on their camera and microphone to confirm their identity and to actively engage.
