Running Start Workshop Series

We offer workshops to support currently enrolled Running Start students in their academic planning and success. Space is limited, so please make sure to register to confirm your seat. Events will be held from 12 - 2 p.m., however, will begin promptly at 12 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

Financial Aid 101 Workshop 

The Financial Aid Workshop is intended for high school seniors who either plan to continue at Green River or transfer to a different college/university after Running Start and apply for financial aid. We'll talk about the different types of financial aid, scholarships, and how to fill out the FAFSA/WASFA. 

This workshop will be held from 12 - 2 p.m.

Beyond the Transcript: Strategies to Help you Through your College Personal Statement 

This workshop is intended for high school seniors to learn about applying and transferring to a university after completing your time at Green River. Learn tips, strategies, and tools to help you write your personal statement(s). 

This workshop will be held from 12 - 2 p.m.

Goodbye Stress, Hello Success!

Running Start will be co-leading this workshop with Counseling Services from Green River College. Transitioning from High School to College can be stressful, and we want to make sure you know we're here to help! We'll cover these important skills for success: time magement, relaxation strategies, and what to do when the sress gets to be too overwhelming.  

This workshop will have two different time slots available, 12 pm - 12:50 p.m. and 1 - 1:50 p.m.
