Gathering Feedback Through Surveys and Focus Groups
Surveys and focus groups are two common ways of gathering feedback from the college or external community to inform potential improvements at the college. At GRC, surveys are administered frequently and many students may be asked to respond to multiple institutional surveys in a given quarter leading to a potential for survey fatigue, reduced response rates, and less application for each survey; thus, these should be used with a specific purpose to value the time and energy committed to providing meaningful feedback and to avoid any potential harm to the participants.
