Beth Carter

Beth Carter began her career in international education as an English teacher in China, working in Jiangxi province, and in Beijing. Since returning to the US, she has worked in marketing and management consulting, curriculum development, and as a private academic coach. She has also helped her husband lead study abroad programs across Southeast Asia. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking with her dog, and spending time with her family. She has a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Puget Sound, and a Master's degree in International Studies from the University of Washington. Beth's favorite thing about advising is helping students achieve their academic goals, and ensuring that her students are having a meaningful intercultural experience in the USA. She has been at Green River College since 2017.
