About Cardiac Monitor / EKG Technician

Cardiac Monitor / Electrocardiography (EKG) Technician is a two-course, 5-credit offering that provides students with foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in electrocardiography (EKG), telemetry monitoring, and cardiac rhythm analysis. Students learn to identify normal and abnormal heart rhythms, recognize cardiac events that require immediate intervention, and develop practical skills applicable to hospitals, emergency departments, telemetry units, and other patient care settings.
