A certification is a credential you earn to show that you have specific skills or knowledge tied to an occupation, technology, or industry.
We offer a limited number of certifications as well as courses that prepare you to take certification exams.
- Typically include an experience and education component
- Earned by passing an exam given by an organization or association that monitors prescribed standards for an industry (Project Management International, Society of Human Resource Management, Evergreen Safety Council, etc.)
- Allows you to put letters after your name (PMP, SPHR, etc.)
- Usually requires recertification, which ensures you stay current in your field through Continuing Education
