Spend three weeks living and studying in Vinh City, Vietnam. Vinh University will host you and provide specialized lectures on topics such as Nutrition and Dietary Control, the Vietnamese Healthcare System, Parasitology, Eye Nursing, and more. Alongside these lectures, your Green River College instructor will guide assignments that count toward your Nursing clinical hours. As part of your hands-on experience, you will also visit traditional medicine clinics, general hospitals, an eye hospital, a commune clinic, and the Orphanage Village.
During the first two weeks, students will participate in lectures and clinical hours Monday through Saturday. The final week is dedicated to cultural exploration and excursions. Planned activities include visits to Ninh Binh and the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, hiking at Ke Em Waterfalls, attending a local community festival, touring temples and pagodas, staying in a traditional village homestay, observing healthcare in commune clinics in Dien Lam, and traveling to Phong Nha–Ke Bang National Park to explore Paradise Cave and relax by Muoc Moc Stream.
Vietnam is a country of vibrant cities, breathtaking coastlines, lush mountains, and a culture rooted in centuries-old traditions. Vinh City, located near historic battle sites and beautiful beaches, provides an authentic glimpse into everyday Vietnamese life. Excursions to places like Trang An, Ke Em Waterfalls, and the world-renowned Phong Nha–Ke Bang caves highlight Vietnam’s natural beauty and cultural heritage. Immersing yourself in this environment not only broadens your global perspective but also enhances your nursing practice by blending professional learning with meaningful cultural experiences.
