Student Housing Health & Safety

Campus Corner Apartments

Health & Safety

We know that your health and safety are of the utmost importance as you weigh your housing options. Here are some of the measures we are taking:

Identifying Isolation Spaces

We took some of our beds offline to function as isolation spaces for students who may become infected with COVID-19 or are at-risk of infection.

Increasing Cleaning Efforts

  • High touch point areas such as water fountains, laundry machinery, and door handles are cleaned at an increased frequency in our Townsend Center.
  • Hand sanitizing station is available in the Townsend Center.

Clarifying Student Expectations

Students will be responsible for complying with Student Housing policies. Failure to comply may result in a referral to participate in a Conduct Hearing. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Physical distancing
  • Compliance with isolation protocols
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including face coverings
  • No non-resident visitors

Adjusting Programming Opportunities

Providing opportunities for students to get to know each other and build community is one of our highest priorities and centerpiece of a live-on experience. We are actively exploring and designing opportunities for students to interact and engage with one another, while remaining consistent with public health recommendations.  Our programming offerings will include virtual programs with in-person student engagement opportunities revisited as CDC recommendations change.

Restricting Occupancy

No more than three residents will share any individual apartment.

Training Staff

CCA Staff will be educated on proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and mitigation protocols to advance the health and safety of staff and residents.
