Policy CO-6

Continuing and Community Education – Green River Community College will provide programs and services that reflect a commitment to the professional, social and personal enrichment needs of the community.

Core Objectives

  • Access – increase access by offering diverse learning opportunities at multiple locations on and off campus and providing guidance to assist in taking advantage of these opportunities
  • Success – increase student success in terms of meeting their needs, continued enrollment, and positive recommendations to others and pathways to enrollment in credit-bearing and certificated learning
  • Equity – increase accommodation for our students and communities with diverse needs
  • Responsiveness – increase opportunity for community members to enrich their lives personally, socially, culturally and professionally through relevant and renewing lifelong learning
  • Collaboration – increase collaboration and partnership with business and industry, K-12 education, community organizations and other continuing education providers to meet community needs

Achievement of these core objectives will be measured by the following indicators:

  • Health of Continuing Education programs.
  • Continuing Education programs are responsive to community needs.
  • Continuing Education programs are collaborative to enhance ability to serve constituents.
