About LPN to BSN Program

Green River College’s LPN to BSN program is designed for Licensed Practical Nurses who are ready to take the next step in their nursing careers. This pathway builds on your practical nursing experience and prepares you to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)—opening doors to expanded roles, leadership opportunities, and greater professional flexibility.

As a Registered Nurse, graduates are prepared to take on a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • Delivering comprehensive patient care by assessing health needs, developing care plans, administering medications, and providing treatments such as wound care

  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to coordinate safe, continuous, and patient-centered care

  • Educating and advocating for patients, helping individuals understand their health and supporting informed decision-making

  • Responding to emergencies, including performing CPR and other critical, life-saving interventions

  • Leading and supervising care teams, supporting LPNs, CNAs, and other staff while maintaining high standards of safety and quality

This program is designed to support your growth from skilled practitioner to confident nurse leader—equipping you with the knowledge, clinical judgment, and professional preparation needed in today’s healthcare environments.
