Supporting Student Access to Higher Education
Pre-College and Basic Skills classes prepare students for college. Classes are offered for people who want to improve their English language, reading, writing and math skills and finish high school.
Programs designed to get you where you need to be include:
- Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Our Basic Skills program is for adults who may have experienced educational gaps and missed the opportunity to develop certain skills or complete necessary steps in their education. We offer different kinds of help, from traditional-style classes to individualized instruction for particular skill development.
- English as a Second Language (ESOL)
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes are for refugees and immigrants to the United States.
- General Education Development (GED®)
Green River offers General Educational Development preparation classes to help you successfully pass the GED® exam. GED® classes are $25 per quarter, and are offered on and off campus during the day and in the evening.
- High School Completion
The Green River College High School Completion program can help you complete your high school education.
At Green River College, we help create better skills, better jobs, and better lives in our diverse community every day by offering Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training (I-BEST).
