COMPLETED NOMINATIONS ARE DUE BY 5:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, AUGUST 21st, 2023. THE AWARD WILL BE PRESENTED ON OPENING DAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2023.

PURPOSE:

To foster an environment where employees are recognized for the important contributions that they make to Green River College, three outstanding staff awards will be offered. These outstanding staff should embody the very best of the core values of GRC. Individual staff members and work teams can be nominated. Up to three $1,500 awards will be presented on Opening Day, Tuesday, September 19, 2023.

AWARDS:

Award recipients may be individuals or a work team. Individuals must be employed at GRC on a permanent basis (classified, exempt, or administrator). A work team can be loosely defined as any group of two or more employees that work together toward a common purpose, such as a committee, department, task force, or team within a department. In 2008, the initial Body of Work (B.O.W.) award was presented to Debbie Knipschield. Green River's B.O.W. Award recognizes employees for their contributions to Green River that spans numerous years and create a hallmark of performance. This award has since been renamed The Rutkowski Achievement Award and due to its extraordinary level of achievement, it will be awarded to Green River employees only when fitting.

NOMINATION PROCESS AND TIME-LINE:

Nominations can be made by any employee or student of Green River College. The nominator shall complete a nomination form, and in no more that one page, share information describing why the nominee merits recognition. In addition, the nominator must recruit between two and four additional people to write letters, again no more than one page, in support of the nominee. Once this nomination packet is received, the nominee will be notified and will have the opportunity to add up to two pages of material to the packet, so that the total packet should not exceed 7 pages.
