What to expect

What weather can you expect?

Summers in the Northwest are usually sunny with little rain and low humidity. The average daytime maximum temperature may be around 20-25 degrees Celsius with nighttime lows at 10-12 degrees Celsius. Please bring a jacket and some warmer clothes for the cooler evenings. The classrooms are air-conditioned and sometimes the students find it a little cold, so we recommend that you bring a light jacket with you each day. Also please bring some comfortable shoes for walking. Dress is mostly casual, but please do bring some of your traditional clothes for special occasions, the cultural fair in Washington D.C., and the Farewell Banquet.
