Year after year Green River College international students gain admission to the top 100 universities across the United States and abroad. Students come to Green River for their first two years of university, work hard, and then have a number of options when it comes to university transfer.
Green River will always be a place I cherish and look back fondly on. My time at Green River was short, but in the 1.5 years I was there, I learned so much, and made so many memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Bing started his own IT business with another Green River Alumnus – Tommy Yang called Nashangban.com - And it was from here that his true success story began. In 2013, Nashangban.com was named one of the most successful companies in China. Bing was named to the 2015 Forbes “30 under 30” list.
Thirty-four students from across the globe boarded the Victoria Clipper, a ferry that travels through the Puget Sound, to participate in a whale-watching trip organized by the International Programs department.
Patricia is majoring in Computer Science and will be attending Columbia University in the fall. She was also admitted to Barnard College, Smith College, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, Reed College, and University of Oregon (Honors).
I feel that Green River is a place where students are given a safe place to study, and are given many opportunities to learn, grow and explore. For me, it all started with a dream of being a commercial pilot. Then, I moved to Green River where the academic advisors in the International Programs office helped me craft out a plan to achieve that goal while receiving a good education in the process.
