How to Guarantee Housing

We are so pleased to see an increase in applications from international students from across the globe. The last two years have been challenging for the college and for students who have had to study from home due to the pandemic.

The new challenge? Visa wait times and housing. The visa wait times in some countries are over a year!! Now more than ever it is important for students to plan early and get their applications in as soon as possible. We are unable to arrange housing without a complete application and confirmation that the student has received the visa.

We are grateful that we were able to provide housing for all our fall students and move-in day was a success. CCA and host families are currently at 100% capacity. The good news is that we have been able to recruit more wonderful host families. In addition, some of our students are here only for fall.

To guarantee housing for students, they must have a complete application. What does a complete application include?

Application
Pay application fee (if applicable)
Pay Housing fee - $300
Copy of bank statement
Copy of passport
Medical Waiver
Must be 16 years old by the first day of classes

We cannot send out an I-20 until these are complete. Also, there are two types of I-20s, one for English as a second language and one for academics. If you do not have one of the English Requirements then you must schedule a test with one of our advisors. This adds time to the application process, but often times is very important for visa-sensitive countries.
