Jeremy Snyder
Director of International Housing, Health & Safety
Jeremy has been working at Washington State community colleges since 2014. He began as a Coordinator for Residential Education at Edmonds College. He then served as the Residence Life Manager at Wenatchee Valley College. He was Asst. Director of International Housing and Short-Term Programs at Tacoma Community College just before coming to GRC in March of 2023. He is excited for career advancement opportunity, especially as GRC is a leading institution for international students, community college housing, and in-house homestay.
Jeremy was born in Spokane, WA and currently lives in Tacoma. Within Washington, he has also lived in Seattle, Lynnwood, and Wenatchee. Portland, Oregon and Honolulu, Hawaii have also been home. Jeremy even lived at sea for almost 5 years while he worked for the entertainment division of a major cruise line. He has a BA in Communication Studies and 2 Master’s Degrees: Diplomacy and Military Studies and Educational Leadership and Policy.
Jeremy’s wife, Celina, immigrated from the Philippines in 2018. They are currently hosting/supporting their niece who is an international student at TCC. They enjoy the international community (and the variety of Asian grocery stores) available in the Puget Sound.
