Intensive English Instructor
Tim McDaniel has a B.A. degree in English (Creative Writing) and a MATESOL degree, both from the University of Washington. After graduating from the university he spent ten years in Thailand, first as a Peace Corps Volunteer (teaching English at a middle school) and then as a lecturer at Khon Kaen University, so he speaks some Thai. While in Thailand he visited several other countries. He’s taught at the University of Washington, Pierce, North Seattle, Edmonds, Shoreline, and Highline. He has been at Green River since 2005, and has taught every level except level 5. For fun he likes dinosaurs, movies, TV, his dog, and especially reading and writing. He has sold a few dozen stories to magazines, and his collection of plays is now used in the Project English drama class. What he loves most about teaching is when he sparks the joy of learning in his students.
