We’re glad you’re here. This page is your starting point for academic advising and support as a student-athlete at Green River College. Whether you’re registering for classes, tracking your eligibility, or planning your degree, we’re here to help you succeed! 

Follow the steps below to complete your onboarding and start your journey strong. You’ll also find important information about academic advising and athletic eligibility requirements to help you stay on track.


New Students-Getting Started

New Students please review the getting started steps before scheduling an appointment to meet with an advisor. For questions about the getting started steps, please schedule an appointment with a Getting Started Specialist.

  1.   Apply for admissions to GRC
    • Applications are usually processed within 5 business days
  2.  Once you have been admitted, activate student accounts
  3. Establish placement in English & Math
    • Upload an UNOFFICIAL copy of your HS transcript to our secure document upload
    • AP credit, college in the high school courses, and/or previosly earned college credit- Upload copies of these to the secure document portal to ensure we give you the most accurate placement
    • Alternative methods to establish placement include, placement assessments and DSP surveys (these routes should be taken for students who did not qualify for placement via HS or college transcripts). For more information visit the Placement & Testing Center 
  4. Attend New Student Advising & Enrollment Session
    • This is a group enrollment session where we go over degrees & programs, advising, first quarter classes & assist students with enrolling in their first quarter
    • Students will have the opportunity to speak to an advisor and check their first quarter classes
    • Offered virtually and in-person
    • Once placement has been established, students will receive an email inviting them to attend NSAE. If you have not received the email, fill out the NSAE inquiry form
    • All student athletes are required to attend this session
  5. For students with earned college credit, including AP, IB, CTE complete the following steps as early as possible, as this process can take up to 6 weeks to complete
    • Order official transcripts/scores and send to GRC
    • Fill out the Transcript Evaluation Request Form
    • Students will receive a message in their Navigate 360 account when evaluation has been completed
    • Meet with the student athlete advisor

International students must work with the International Programs Office for both entry and ongoing academic advising. For assistance, please visit the International Programs website


Current Students

Schedule an Appointment with the Transfer & Student Athlete Advisor via your Navigate 360 Account

Students pursuing non-transfer, career technical or trades programs are recommended to work with their faculty advisor for advising. Schedule an appointment using your Navigate 360 account, or by emailing your faculty advisor directly, requesting an appointment to meet

International students must work with the International Programs Office for both entry and ongoing academic advising. For assistance, please visit the International Programs website

 


NWAC Eligibility Requirements

To compete in NWAC athletics, student-athletes must meet academic and enrollment requirements set by the Northwest Athletic Conference.

First year athletes: 

  • Must be enrolled in 12 or more credits
  • Must pass at least 10 credits the previous quarter

Second year athletes:

  • Must be enrolled in 12 or more credits
  • Must pass at least 10 credits the previous quarter 
  • Need at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA 
  • Must have earned 36 credit hours by the start of their second year

Note: Waitlisted courses do not count towards enrolled credits for NWAC eligibility
