Green River’s Global Leadership Program Cultivates Global Ready Leaders

Happy New Year! 

On behalf of all of us here at Green River, we thank you for your partnership. Working in close partnership with you, in 2018 we welcomed and supported 1400 students from over 60 countries. Green River now ranks #9 in the US among community colleges in international enrollment.  Thank you!

We launched our Global Leadership Program fall 2018 with 20 participants, including US and international students representing diverse cultures and backgrounds. The goal of the program is to help students discover their unique leadership potential and become global ready! 

Here is what participants said about their experiences:

“I learnt a lot during this program about myself and my place in this world. What I liked most was how very 1st session about my leadership strengths. I’m already using the knowledge I gained from the day in daily life when I applied for a job.”

“I really learnt a lot from this program. The most benefit for me is that I met many new friends from different countries.”

“The most beneficial part of the program is definitely the ability to reflect on myself, such as the way I think, my intercultural skills, and my strengths as a leader.”

A second cohort will start spring 2019 and the application will open soon. All first year program participants will receive a scholarship covering the full cost of the program. Encourage your current students to apply!
