For students who have met the English Proficiency Requirements for direct admission into academic programs. COMPASS is a computer-based assessment of reading and math that students usually take during orientation. There is no time limit, but it normally takes 2-3 hours to complete. Results are available immediately after completing the assessment, and students have the opportunity to test again the next business day. The WAMAP test is also available for math placement. After testing, students are able to register for their academic classes based on their placement results. Advisors are available during registration to help guide students on their first quarter registration schedule.
