Nursing Assistant Requirements

Please review the following requirements before applying:

  • Must be 18 years of age of older
  • Pass a Washington State Background Check
  • Acquire the required Immunizations
  • Possess medical and liability Insurance*

Please Complete the following steps in order to apply for the NAC program:

  1. Apply to Green River College
  2. If you have taken a college-level English course or have a US bachelor’s degree, please attach a copy of your transcript/s with your NAC application. If NOT, you will need to take the CASAS Assessment. Please go to the Rutkowski Learning Center (RLC) 125.
  3. Complete your immunizations
    1. 2-Step TB
    2. Flu Shot

    3. Complete and submit the application to Enrollment Services by the due date posted online.

The Green River College Practical Nursing program holds pre-accreditation status from the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation, located at 2600 Virginia Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20037. Holding pre-accreditation status does not guarantee that initial accreditation by NLN CNEA will be received.

The Green River College Practical Nursing program is fully accredited by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission and the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
