Where You'll be Studying

The University of Oviedo is an Asturian Icon built in the 17th century. The city of Oviedo is a treasure trove of architecture with structures dating back to the 9th century. The rich Spanish culture and food are alive and vibrant in the city. 

Classes will be held at the University of Oviedo’s Humanities campus.

During your stay, you will live with a host family and they will provide full room and board. You will have an outstanding opportunity to learn about Spanish culture first-hand and practice your Spanish language skills in an authentic environment.

Included in the program:

  • There will be two weekend excursions, one to the caves of Covadonga and the other to Santander including the museum of torture (total of 16 hours).
  • There will be plenty of time for exploration. Oviedo is a historical city boasting more than three world patrimonial heritage sites including San Miguel de Lillo and Santa María del Naranco (two pre Romanesque structures located within walking distance of town) that were built during times of the Kingdom of Asturias (before the unification of the kingdom of Spain).
