Good News!  No Increase in Tuition This Year and We are Still Accepting Applications for Fall

With classes beginning in September, now is the time for new students to apply to Green River College to be sure they get the best selection of classes for fall quarter.

New students are encouraged to turn in their applications by August 15 so they can finish the enrollment process and receive academic advising prior to arriving. However, enrollment is always open and all applicants will be assisted in the enrollment process.

And for families and students worried about the cost of college; here is good news; Green River College‚Äôs total cost for attending for a year is among the lowest in the USA and one third the cost of most four year universities. In addition, there will be no increase in tuition.  See Costs and Payments.  Limited scholarships are available.

  • Preferred Application Deadline - 15 August, 2018*
  • Airport Arrival & Housing Move-in Day - 11 & 12 September, 2018
  • Orentation & Testing begins - 13 September, 2018
  • Classes start - 24 September, 2018
  • Classes end - 13 December, 2018

Winter 2019

  • Preferred Application Deadline - 15 November, 2018
  • Airport Arrival & Housing Move-in Day - 26 December, 2018

Parent and Family Orientation and Hotel Reservation

We invite parents and family members to attend a special orientation for family members. Please let our Visitors Program Manager, Tawnya McLavey, know if you are planning to attend. As well, let Tawnya know if you need assistance with your hotel reservation.

Year after year Green River international students gain admission to the top 100 universities across the United States and abroad. Students come to Green River for their first two years of university, work hard and then have a number of options when it comes to university tranfer. The class of 2017 transferred to the following universities this year: Universities in bold represent top 100 world universities (ARWU). Italicized universities represent top 100 American universities (US News).

Alumna of the Month: Uyanga E. Uka - Mongolia

Uyanga E. Uka attended Green River College from 2008-2019 and transferred to the University of Washington. She majored in accounting and then obtained an MBA from the University of Fiance and Economics of Mongolia. She now works as a tax professional with a global mining firm.

Alumna of the Month: Dream Jang - South Korea

Dream Jang came to Green River in the fall of 2010 and graduated in June 2013 with her high school diploma and AB degree. She transferred to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majored in Political Science and graduated in June 2015 with her Bachelor’s degree. She now works full-time in the field of International Cooperation Development and at the same time is pursuing her Master’s degree in Korea.
