Having served as a master resiliency trainer for the United States Army, Leander's ability to listen, understand, and guide others has allowed him to help students as part of Green River's Progress and Completion Center. 

"I've been in your shoes at one point or another. There's times when I felt like, you know, level zero, just down at the bottom. But we have to face these barriers and obstacles, we have to face these hardships straight on. I feel like I have the experience to help them do that. When I'm thinking about goals and accomplishments, and being successful, I think about the question, why wait? Time is very valuable to us. Before she found herself at Green River College, Adriana was unsure if she'd be able to afford to school. After receiving guidance from her sister and finding the support she needed on campus, Adriana graduated from Green River College’s Practical Nursing program and now works at an acute hospital.
