We designed our program to train students in every major area of the carpentry trade:
- blueprint reading
- foundation forming and concrete placement
- wall and roof framing
- interior and exterior finish carpentry
Your classroom is a well-equipped 5500-square-foot shop, large enough to build two houses!
You will build full-size mock-ups in the shop and work in the field on real building projects for customers.
Employment outlook in Washington state is excellent. The region is experiencing rapid growth with many large and small-scale building and development projects over the next 30 years. The demand for skilled carpenters will remain high.

Apprenticeship
GRC Carpentry Technology program has a partnership with the Northwest Carpenter's Institute of Washington (NWCI). NWCI recognizes the quality of our program. GRC graduates who meet the GPA requirements can continue training through an exclusive agreement with NWCI:
- Students who earn 3.5 GPA will have preferred entry into the NWCI's apprenticeship program
- Students who pass the apprenticeship training exams advance to higher pay levels
